Amazing weather so far this September - tomatoes still ripening, courgettes just about still going, as well as the runner beans - oh and a final flurry of chillie's! I popped out into the garden with the sun shining this week to photograph some of the loveliness still going. It's fab to see this beautiful climber still going - I am not sure what it is, but it's been flowering all Summer and is now transforming into a kind of Old Man's Beard, all fluffy :)
The Tomatoes I planted out at the back of the raised beds, have gone out of control. Next year I will definitely try and stake them better and pinch out the top once they start to fruit (I didn't know that you should do this). I also need to give them more space as they take up way more than I anticipated!
The Summer Yellow Squash I planted in two old car tyres, have done really well, and are continuing to produce yummy veg - I'll definitely do these next year too!
These lovely apples are waiting to be harvested for cider. Looking forward to that - never done it before, so will be blogging the process!
Finally, a couple of pics of some last gasp Hydrangea's and some wildlife enjoying the garden sunshine.
