A while ago I salvaged some broken slate from around an old building on the farm. I sanded all the ends off so they weren’t all sharp and nasty, drilled a whole in the middle, sealed the slate on both sides with some Slate Oil and made a clock. But something has always bothered me about it and it was only recently I realised it was the black hands. The gold rim makes it all look somewhat dated and the black hands are too similar to the slate to clearly see the time. So, with my newly bought can of creamy white paint I took to spraying a spare set of clock hands (albeit a different style) to see if turning the clock hands white would make a difference. They certainly look more modern and the time is much clearer. What do you think? Black or White?
