Well it feels like an age since I last blogged, and I have missed it! However, we were away for a week, where I mostly switched off from the world as much as possible, and spent time with my boys (and Ruby dog). After six months of hosting holiday's at the yurts, it is always really lovely to get away ourselves, which I make sure we do every year around October time (If it were up to my Husband, I don't think we'd never leave the farm ;-) ).
So Cornwall was our destination. I haven't been in around 20 years, which makes me feel very old! What a lovely County. Fabulous countryside, and breathtaking beaches. I actually love beaches at this time of the year, as you pretty much have them to yourselves!
Although there were plenty of places to go (Eden Project, Heligan Gardens, etc.) we mostly just chilled out at the cottage and grounds, or let the children immerse themselves in beach fun. Sand, rock pools, rock climbing, paddling, digging, sand castles, ice cream. This is what they loved, so that's what they did :)
We really had a great time together, and I'm keen to return and maybe do more next time - or maybe not! I do wish I had taken my camera out a bit more though. I really found with the two boys, bags for snacks and nappies etc, plus the dog, I never had enough hands!!!
That said, it was nice to just be in the moment for most of the week.
